Fire Shutters
The FC2 Industrial Fire Shutter is supplied with a basic FDI panel and an optional AVFDI unit. A battery backup is included as standard, and the system must be connected to your internal fire alarm.
Constructed with a 76mm concave lath, the FC2 uses a range of single- and three-phase inline motors suitable for different shutter sizes. Control options include solenoid activation and fusible links. The FCi Insulated Fire Shutter offers both high fire integrity and enhanced security, with up to a 4-hour fire rating. Its internal Rockwool insulation also provides thermal and acoustic benefits.
All shutters are available with single- or three-phase inline motors and a range of control and warning devices. The FC1, FC2, and FCi models are supplied in a galvanised steel finish as standard, with optional RAL or BS powder-coated finishes to match your building design.

The FC1 unit from BLE is a cost-effective option for smaller openings up to 3m x 3m. Rated to 1000°C with 60 minutes’ integrity and 60 minutes’ radiation resistance (BS EN 1634-1), it carries Exova Warrington Certifire approval.

The FC2 is the highest-performing curtain in the BLE range. Made from woven glass fibre reinforced with stainless steel, it withstands extreme fires—rated to 1000°C for up to 240 minutes’ integrity and 60 minutes’ radiation (BS EN 1634-1 and BS 476 Part 22). It is approved for unlimited widths and drops of up to 8m, with Exova Warrington Certifire certification.

The FC4 model combines integrity and radiant heat protection in one unit. Rated to 1000°C for up to 120 minutes for both integrity and radiation (BS EN 1634-1), it is approved for widths up to 7m and drops of up to 4m. Its glass fibre fabric is laminated on both sides with heat-reflective aluminium foil.
